Abandoned Warehouse District, Sunday Afternoon

This weekend had started off normal. Different from her usual self, not that she knew that, sure, but -- normal, at least, in that no one was chasing her or trying to invade her privacy.

Then this morning she'd woken up and found squirrels perched outside her window. And that had all changed.

Now she was on the run in the warehouse district, ducking through alleys and trying to avoid the squirrels and their tiny, tiny notepads. And how did she keep herself occupied during this mission?

She sang, of course.

"You don't understand
What it is
That makes me tick
But you wish you did..."

Shit, a squirrel! Miley pressed herself up against the wall, stomach sucked in to try to avoid being seen. Then it scampered off and she returned to fleeing and darting between buildings some more.

"You always second-guess, wonderin'
I say yes, but you just
Lose out every time..."

"Am not!" Miley yelled, maturely. "I was trying to keep you safe from the squirrels, is all!"

Of course not. She refused to stop reading his mind, and then she lied about it.

"Singing attracts squirrels you know!" Shatner yelled back. "But you knew that already, mind-reader."

"I don't read minds!" Miley yelled. "What makes you think I do?"

"The fact that you keep reading my mind!" Dave yelled. "Stop it!"

"But I'm not!" Miley insisted. "Just... don't talk for a sec!"

Yes, Miley, that would work. Obviously.

"And make it easier for you to read my mind? Not likely," Shatner thought that he thought but he actually said. "Sure, okay, I'll do that starting right now."

"What?" Okay, fine, whatever, this guy was weird. "But look, see? I'm not reading your mind or anything!"

Miley, that proved nothing.

"Suuuuuure you're not!" Shatner said. "Sarcasm! Got you there."

Miley let out a noise of horror. "No way!" she shrieked, hurrying in those high heeled boots of hers down the nearest alley.

"Don't you wish that you could be a fly on the wall?
A creepy little sneaky little fly on the wall?
