Backstage at a Concert Arena | Los Angeles, CA | Thursday Evening Fandom Time

As Miley knew well by now after four years of pop stardom, doing concerts every night -- even with the occasional break for dinner with the boyfriend or having friends come backstage -- was exhausting, especially during a time that was supposedly her winter break.

But it was pretty fun anyway. And without having just done a full week of concerts, Miley wouldn't've had the leeway (or the pouting practice) necessary to encourage her makeup artist, Fermaine, to give her friend a makeover.

So. With an hour to go until tonight's showtime, Miley-as-Hannah lay on her back on a couch backstage and texted Lilly, wondering when she would just get here already, then prodded the dressing room door with her shoe.

"Jooooono," she called. "Are you done yet?"

Plotting her demise. Right now. While smiling, because this was the sort of song that demanded a smile, and people were watching. Young ones, which meant that rude gestures were completely out of the question, too.

She bounced over to him, bumping shoulders (because that was the way to convey stage presence and chemistry, really) before launching into the chorus. The rest of the song followed, and unbeknownst to them, one lone fan recorded it all on her cell phone camera.

Fear it, Jono. Fear it.

"So everyone give it up for Joey!" Miley encouraged once she was done, sparking a truly deafening chorus of shrieking.

For the record, this had been the farthest possibility in Jonothon's mind when Miley had invited him to come to one of her shows, hang out backstage, and get a feel for the whole 'Hannah Montana' experience.

He hated you so much right now, Miley. And with the smile that he was forcing, nobody in the world would ever be able to tell.

"Thank you, everybody. And thank you, Hannah. I never dreamed I'd get the opportunity to do something quite like that."

Miley was so damn lucky he wasn't able to kill her with his brain any more.

She was left with the strange suspicion that he was maybe less than thrilled. IMAGINE THAT.
